I am back to writing the next part of IMR after the excitement of the comics events I went to in the summer. Trying to sell comics in physical format was a bit of an experiment for me but it was a great success, and the benefits of interacting with people face to face as well as meeting fellow creators and other like minded individuals were massive. It was really inspiring seeing the wide array of quality self published comics on offer and I received some very positive feedback for the comics which makes the whole process worthwhile.

In terms of length, this next volume getting bigger as I plan it out and will probably be graphic novella length by the time it’s finished. This part has a larger cast of more diverse characters and deals indirectly with the social history and geography of the island, requiring a lot more planning and design than the previous parts needed. Although it’s time consuming doing this it’s also a lot of fun and should stand me in good stead for future stories too.

I expect it will be into next year before the next part of the story appears.

The point of the comic (besides telling a great story) has always been to push my writing and art as far as they can go, so I want to take the extra time to make sure that this bit of the story is as good as it can be.

In the mean time I hope to be working on short comics tales, collaborations and illustration work too, so keep an eye on TwitterFacebook and Tumblr for updates and bonus material.

Thanks for reading,
